• The Wake County Cost Analysis is the culmination of more than 6 months of work commissioned by Wake County Government in partnership with Wake County Public Schools. Eight Districts participated in the study aimed at providing benchmarks for Wake County capital planning: CMS, Clark Co. (NV), Fairfax (VA), Guilford Co. (NC), Gwinnett Co. (GA), Orange Co. (FL), Wake Co. (NC), and Winston-Salem/Forsyth Co. (NC).
• During June, several business and education leaders from Mecklenburg County in association with the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce traveled to Austin, Texas to learn from them about ways to make our own community a better place to live. One area the group examined was education within that region. E3 Alliance, a catalyst for systemic changes in education in Texas made a presentation.
